I'm not going to finish my previous blog because, in a strange way, I like it the way it is.
However, I am going to give you a fresh "ten random things" today.
1. If you could add another commandment to the ten commandments what would add?
2. Would you rather have armpits that omitted chloroform on command or saliva that transformed into truth serum on command?
3. Define intimacy.
4. What act of injustice troubles you?
5. Are you a better talker or listener?
6. Would you ever pose nude for a photograph taken by someone else.
7. What is the perfect age? Why?
8. Who is the most independent original thinker you know?
9. What are you not willing to sacrifice?
10. Why were we created?

1. "Do not injure, abuse, oppress, enslave, insult, torment, torture or kill any creature or living being." (Stolen from the Jainists)
ReplyDelete2. The saliva one b/c I like people being as truthful as possible, but mostly b/c the armpit one sounds like sniffing them would cause me to fall asleep. Though that could be useful for ridding me of my insomnia.
3. Mutual empathy; the capacity to understand another and to be understood by them.
4. All of them, but the biggest one is probably the severe quantity of underfed and impoverished people today. It would be so much easier to solve the problem than we make it out to be, yet we're not doing anything about it. I hope to help in changing this w/in my lifetime.
5. Listener, I think. I'm not a fan of hearing myself speak, since I already know whatever it is I'm saying.
6. Probably not; I can't think of a situation (extraneous ones excluded) where I would.
7. For me, this one. Both b/c it's here and now (which I'm all about), and I'm thankful to be young and healthy.
8. I'll stick w/ living persons I know personally. Probably my friend Justis. He's got his stuff straight and isn't afraid to take a hard stance on some philosophical issues, but is extremely humble, polite, honest, and funny.
9. Compassion.
10. It may sound cliche, but to love ourselves and others. I think consciousness' natural state is one of compassion and bliss. The only reason we fail to realize this w/in our daily lives is b/c there's a layer of ignorance and discontent above it that needs to be peeled away.
